Riana is a Licensed Thai Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher in Oakland County, Michigan. I primarily use Thai massage, Sports, Restorative Yoga Therapy and lead Yoga classes such as Core Strength Vinyasa to help my clients and students.
Since 2000, I’ve consciously been on my own healing path, working to heal myself on all levels and following my intuition. Leading me to be a Facilitator of Healing (a.k.a. “healer”), and mentor for others.
"I am here to assist and educate you to stimulate your own healing."
I began training in 2002 as a massage therapist graduating from an 875 hr program in 2004. I have since gained knowledge and experience working in chiropractic offices, automobile injury rehabilitation, and organic spas. In 2007 I gained training as a Yoga instructor as well as training in Massage Doula and Prenatal/Infant Massage, Energy Healing, Japanese Hot Stone, Medical Message Therapy, Coaching the Body, Core Strength Vinyasa and Thai Massage.
I bring an eclectic mix of tricks, tools, and trades to give you a treatment that will not only leave you relaxed but empowered to make changes to break the cycle of pain. "All of my massage methods are focused on "deeper" methods and relieving the cause (the root) and not just the symptom, physically and emotionally. I am not a "session" therapist. Most of my clients are on the mat for two hours as they like to get to the deeper levels, ridding them of the everyday pain and discomfort they are experiencing for lasting results.
The Root comes from the root chakra. Located at the base of the spine it is the foundation of the physical body, bodily life energy, and our connection with the earth. When balanced we feel grounded, centered, secure and safe in our world.
Humans are more than their bodies, each is a complex balance of mental, physical, and spiritual aspects that are integrated into and directly affected by environmental and social factors.
The causes of illness are far deeper rooted than merely their external symptoms. But we live in an age of science based on Newtonian specialization, so each part of the body is viewed and treated as being separate from the rest. Even when the same science has already moved to the quantum level.
